A slice of life from enchanting Parsi Mumbai, Little Zizou is an endearing collage of characters coming to terms with their respective lives. A young boy awaits the arrival of his soccer hero while his father is on a mission to expand his purist cult. Simultaneously, a newspaper owner struggles to keep his press running as his wife tries to reconcile an unusual relationship with her mother. Amidst this chaos, an artist and inventor looks to build a flight simulator while gathering the courage to profess his love to the girl next door. The film is a charming portrait of Mumbai's Parsi community, embellished with quirky humor, unusual characterization and a lovable cast. From the writer of highly acclaimed films such as Salaam Bombay, Mississippi Masala, and The Namesake, Little Zizouis Sooni Taraporevala's directorial debut. |
